I decided to try Olaplex at home treatments to see if they really make a difference on my waist length hair.

My hair yes it is very dark at the moment, but a couple of years ago I went to blonde for a couple of years, so inevitably I have a significant amount of damage on my ends. Plus honestly just having this long of hair it is hard to style it without accumulating some damage.

Even though it is publicly advertised most often for blondes, and especially for people wanting to make big platinum blonde moves on their hair-

When asked if Olaplex can totally be used on brunettes. “The answer is YES YES YES!
Olaplex is for everyone. Every hair color, hair type, and texture. In fact, since our launch we have noticed brighter, shinier, healthier brunettes than ever before.”
Sounds good to me!
What I tried:
Olaplex #3
Olaplex #4&5

What it promises:
The patented OLAPLEX Bond Building ingredients “work on a molecular level to repair damaged and broken bonds.”

The Olaplex system is supposed to do 3 things:
1 REPAIR THE BROKEN BONDS AND REJUVENATE HAIR.
2 INCREASE TENSILE STRENGTH AND RESTORE ELASTICITY. 3 PROTECT THE HAIR FOLLICLE FROM FURTHER BREAKAGE

How it’s done:
According to Olaplex, the number 3 is to be put on BEFORE shampooing.
This is where a lot of people mess up, I think sometimes people are under the misconception that Olaplex number three is a leave in conditioner. Not the case.
Another thing that I see people mess up is by putting it on dry hair.-
***This rebonder should go on “clean” “DAMP” hair. Not dry!!! (it only is effective wet)

How long does it take?
The bottle says a minimum of 10 minutes but I like to leave it on for an hour or so. (Just clip your hair up)
Some people leave it on overnight, but Olaplex has stated that the bonding process only occurs while the hair is still damp/wet so once the hair dries it is no longer effective.
** This also means people putting it on dry hair to begin with are not getting the full results, so make sure you don’t make that mistake!
What if you have virgin hair (never color treated) No matter!- According to leading stylists heat damaged hair should be treated like color damaged hair. I guess damage is damage. So it all can be treated with Olaplex!
So let’s see my results!!:

Like wow. Yes yes yes. Sometimes the very ends of my hair I can feel like straw, especially a few days after shampooing. The first thing I noticed after doing the Olaplex system a couple of times at home is that my hair was much more shiny, even at the ends.

And it just feels stronger over all. I can’t explain it the hair just doesn’t feel as fragile at my ends!!! Let’s just say I’ve been getting more hair compliments than ever.
10/10 would recommend!!
This is only like my third time doing the full system, I will do an update after I have completed an entire bottles worth. Now I DON'T do this every time I shampoo. I have a regular system that I use normally and I use this like a treatment once a week or so.
I hope this helps some of you!!!
