Mercury is now in retrograde again- from
May 10- June 2
Mercury will begin its backwards dance in the playful and mischievous sign of Gemini, and then move into reliable Taurus on May 22.
So as you know this be throwing our technology, travel, and communications out of whack up until June 3 when it turns direct.
This planet that rules communication yes, but even thinking, even flirting, among other things.. so I’m not going to sugarcoat it for you, just stay away from people lol- no but seriously this particular retrograde is going to be a little rocky, mainly due to it occurring right in the middle of eclipse season.
This particular transit carries a very specific astral imprint. All these events overlapping could make us feel quite ungrounded, chaotic, and nervous.
During this particular retrograde we need to try to understand the power that our words have.
It’s important to understand that we should be kind with the way we choose to express ourself in order to keep relationships going smoothly during this time.
This time is time to be cautious and discerning- You’re going to feel like you may want to get offended and lash out- but don’t make any assumptions about a person or a situation until you know all the facts.
This jump to conclusions could cause detrimental harm to partnerships if you make false judgments.
Remember everyone is feeling confused and a little on edge- so try not to take things personally during this time.
The retrograde is in Gemini until May 22 so it’s extra important during the first 2 weeks that taking care of our mental health will be a top priority- take some space if you need to and try to fill these 12 days to the brim with self-care, otherwise, the beginning of this transit could be very overwhelming.
Mercury being in Gemini, will shake things up and bring any changes you need to make.
Then the vibe shifts when Mercury enters Taurus on May 22 — compared to Gemini, the sign of the bull is more stubborn, diplomatic, and inclined to indulge.
Many of us might feel an increased desire to take things slow and loosen up.
But this will be a serious two-week period, and many of us will just have to “get through it”. Take a deep breath and push through, there is room for us to accomplish a great deal if we use our analytical abilities to diffuse any negative thoughts.
There are plenty of things we shouldn't do during Mercury retrograde:
Start new projects
buy pricey items
sign contracts, etc you get the picture.
It is time, however, to clean out the closets- both literally and metaphorically. Wrap up old projects, and reconsider what you are doing and where you are going.
The second eclipse within a months time is ALSO coming up on May 15th- So hence extra intense retrograde; but the eclipse brings changes all its own.
This years series of eclipses are upon the Taurus-Scorpio axis.
This coming full lunar eclipse is in Scorpio- we haven’t had one arrive in the sign of Scorpio since 2013- so almost a decade! Scorpio is a water sign and brings sexiness, intensity, and alchemy in its “wake.” Scorpio also rules sex, death, and transformation, the eclipses this year ask us to evolve.
As a result, “2022 may see major changes in your work and love life, but don't worry, they're for the best.“
Scorpio is ruled by warrior planet Mars, and Pluto, the ruler of the underworld, and knows how to transform and shed old skin to get what it wants.
Scorpio derives its strength from the psychic, emotional realm. Be prepared to dig deep as fate may throw us some curveballs that require us to tap into our inner power reserves.
Taurus is ruled by Venus- and loves all things sensual and steady.
It’s a good balance, but a powerful one.
The eclipses upon this axis will push us to put in the work to make our dreams come true/ expose what we truly desire.
Some of us may have experienced major “deaths” after the last solar eclipse. We must move forward with what we now know to be true. We may be required to make difficult decisions to do so.
The signs of Scorpio and Taurus are calling on us to cast aside our fears, anxieties and doubts and trust ourselves to choose the simplest path forward.
And for some of us these eclipses will bring about major changes especially and work and love, so that in a years time a lot could be very different.

Oh, PS: and if you’re worried about Friday 13th, don’t be lol. Personally Friday 13th has always one of my favorite days, plus if you can get through retrograde and the eclipse- Friday 13th is piece of cake.
