Someone took that same situation you’ve been complaining about, and won with it.
Thought this was fitting due to the loss of perhaps the worlds most brilliant physicist Stephen Hawking yesterday. I actually found this quote earlier in the day before I learned of his passing, and loved it- now even more. People complain so much about immutable circumstances, make excuses for why we are the way we are, myself included. Here’s just a brief reminder. There are people out there that have been dealt your same cards, whatever your situation- however dire; and it’s not swallowing them whole. Ie: This extraordinary man, who was physically debilitated at age 21, who wasn’t supposed to live past 24, who went on into his 70s making countless scientific breakthroughs along the way.
(Lou Gehrig's Disease is usually fatal after three years. Hawking survived it for 50 years. And not just survived, he flourished.) “Look up at the stars, not down at your feet.” Fun fact: Hawking was born on January 8, 1942... the 300th anniversary of the death of astronomer and physicist Galileo. 💫
RIP Mr. Hawking, I know science will miss you greatly...
